Chiron Financial has a long history of serving clients who need to renegotiate terms of existing capital, refinance some or all of their debt, restructure their balance sheets, or address another pressing need or special situation. In many cases our client needs some additional capital, whether to meet current cash needs or to repay a lender. We work quickly to assess the issues and provide strategic alternatives. Often, financial goals can be accomplished through a capital raise with a new lender or equity provider. We defend the company’s interest, and an integral part of that effort is gaining the confidence of lenders and investors in a transparent process.
Capital raises and restructuring assignments are special relationships between management and Chiron professionals. We have found that the best financial results for the company can be achieved when we are engaged early in the stress cycle of the company, long before the CEO is spending significant time in cash management.
In restructuring assignments our primary roles are:
- Assessing the relationships between management and stakeholders
- Financial advisor to the company on the process and alternatives
- Negotiation with existing stakeholders
- Debt and/or equity placements to refinance the balance sheet
- Asset or company sale advisor
We do not act as accountants, turnaround experts, or operational restructuring advisors, though we know a variety of trusted and expert professionals that do serve these roles and can provide references if needed. We have excellent relationships with legal and other professionals in the restructuring industry.
